Sitara Nawabi

Sitara Nawabi
Sitara Nawabi is an Afghan-American pop singer-songwriter from San Francisco, California. She debuted in the music world on July 5th 2008 with her first single "Masti", and followed through with her second single "Disco Dewaneh", which was a cover rendition of the original song by Nazia Hassan, which was released in the early 1980's. Her musical background leads back to a very young age. At the age of 10 she discovered her love and passion and slowly grew with it as time progressed. Joining the musical choir and singing at every talent show in her school from grade 6 to graduation she realized that singing was and always had been an important part of her life. After graduation her family sought other opportunities other then music and decided to persuade a young Sitara Nawabi to possibly pursue dentistry another love she had besides music. After graduation she pursued her education and became a registered dental hygienist / registered dental hygienist in alternative practice. Before she could make her debut back in the music scene on July 5th 2008, a sense of motivation had pushed her to pursue her music career when she saw the airing of Ariana TV in 2006. Unlike other Afghan female artists currently in the music scene, Sitara has a very distinguished, elegant, and unique style that puts her out of the "box", making her a pioneer of a brand new style of Afghan music. Sitara has had 2 main different vocal coaches; her father & her old school teacher from grade 6 to 12, Mr. Benneth that helped her find her passion. Currently working with various producers from different backgrounds (i.e. Arab, Persian, Indian, American/Canadian) she always continues to push the boundaries of sound by collaborating with different cultures. Having such an early musical birth in the mainstream TV, Sitara is one of the few artists that has a fast growing fan base that is only going to increase in the future. She continues to send her appreciation and love back to every single fan that has showed support through out the years and continues to do so.

Hi all you lovely people who are taking the time to check out my music!! I would like to thank you so much for your kindness, and support. Your sweet comments and messages constantly encourage me to move forward. It has always been in my blood, but I discovered my love for music only five years ago. I guess I was too busy reading my novels, writing poetry, and painting murals. I didn?t realize I was missing out on what would become a very important, and meaningful part of my life. I would like to thank Habib jan Qaderi for giving me a chance, and helping me realize my dream. I started taking vocal lessons with Wahid jan Omid after my parents agreed I needed an exra curricular activity during highshcool (another hobbie). You can say my run in with music was a wonderful accident. I really have to thank my parents for that. I continued my vocal lessons for two years, and at the same time enrolled in the British Columbia Conservatory of Music where I studied Opera for another two years. After graduating Secondary School with honors, I finished a program in Broadcast Journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. I?m currently studying Philosophy, and Political Science at the University of B.C. When I found free time, I modeled for Fashion Week, Asian women?s magazine, and worked for Charles Stuart at Faces West Int?l Modeling convention. I also worked in a few movies as a background performer?the latest one would be Fantastic 4 part 2 (Scene: the bachelor party). I am currently working on my first album which will be released in 2008, bakhair! Stay tuned for more songs and videos in the meantime. Thank you again for your support. I can?t wait to meet all of you once I go on tour inshallah.

ghazal sadat

Ghazal sadat = Hot
I was born in kabul, Afghanistan. Both my mother and father are from herat. I am a simple afghan girl, and truly value and respect my religion and culture. All of my life i have loved and adored music. Even from early age I recall singing along with music I would listen to. As I grew up, I came to appreciate the beauty and poetic nature of afghan music, with its impressive melodies and intricate rhythms. I completed my secondary education in Istanbul, Turkey. From here my family and I immigrated to Canada. I continued my further education in Montreal, where i received my dental hygienist diploma. Currently I am working to obtain my hair stylist and makeup artist diploma. My true passion is for music. I am planning to release my first album in the near future. I would like to thank Ustad Waheed Qasemi, as well as Ali Etemadi, and Morph music production. I find myself very fortunate to have such wonderful people around me.

i was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and I?ve been living with my family in Germany for the past 10 years. Ever since I was a child, I was interested in the art of music and have always wanted to become a famous musician. At first I performed live in some parties with singers such as Jawid Sharif and others, and I met Valy Hedjasi in one party where he was doing Camera Recording. He came to me and asked if we can make an album together, so I finally got the chance to pursue my dreams and share my voice with my fellow Afghans when I sang in the songs called ?Bia Tu? and ?Delbare Mehrabanam? (which is my own compose and lyrics). The first song I sang was called ?Bia Tu? and the second song was called ?Delbare Mehrabanam?, which I sang both with Valy Hedjasi. My most recent song, which I sang by myself is called ?Ba Taswiram?. Unfortunately, at the time I had some difficulties and I wasn?t able to work in the videos ?Bia Tu? and ?Delbare Mehrabanam? myself. Therefore, Mariam Morid, who is the daughter of Ahmad Morid, was put in the video instead of me and she lip synched the parts I sang in the song. Until now, no one knew that the voices in ?Bia Tu? and ?Delbare Mehrabanam? belonged to Seeta Qasemie and not anyone else?s. Mr. Valy Hedjasi didn?t event bothered to mention my name once, that the origional singer of this song is Seeta Qasemie not Mariam Morid. But I am happy now that my fellow Afghans know that the person who sang ?Bia Tu?, ?Delbare Mehrabanam?, and ?Ba Taswiram? is me, Seeta Qasemie. In the future, I need the love, prayers, and help of my fellow Afghans because if I sing, I sing for my fellow Afghans, not for myself.
